The pizza is topped with a mascarpone and cream sauce, pears and blue cheese for an ultra simple and gourmet pizza at home!

Ingredients for the dough

To prepare the dough, we suggest starting at least 8 hours (ideally 48 hours) before baking. For instructions, refer to our easy dough calculator . We recommend following the instructions for Neapolitan-style dough.

Blue cheese and pear pizza recipe

Blue cheese and pear pizza

The pizza is topped with a mascarpone and cream sauce , pears and blue cheese for an ultra simple and gourmet pizza at home!
Serves 2 ( 10-inch pizzas)

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mascarpone cheese (125ml)
  • ¼ cup 35% whipping cream (60ml)
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper
  • 2 ripe (but firm) Bartlett pears, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz blue cheese, crumbled (227g)
  • cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts) (75ml)
  • 2 cups of arugula (500ml)
  • Balsamic reduction to taste

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese, cream, salt and pepper. Spread between the two uncooked pizzas;
  • Slice the pears thinly;
  • Top each pizza with pear slices, blue cheese and walnuts;
  • Follow the cooking instructions according to the Dough Calculator recipe;
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with rocket to serve;
  • Drizzle with balsamic reduction.
