The Gi. Metal perforated aluminum pizza peel is a perfect marriage between a wooden peel and a non-perforated aluminum peel.
Why? Well, compared to the wooden version, it's more durable, easier to clean, and slides better under the crust. And compared to the non-perforated version? The dough sticks much less! Plus, the holes release excess flour, preventing the crust from burning. The best of both worlds!
The Gi Metal perforated pizza peel is made of anodized aluminum. What does that mean? First, the material is lighter than traditional models, while remaining extremely robust. Second, anodized aluminum resists corrosion and high temperatures (a must for your 900°F pizza oven!). Finally, it's easy to clean and smudge-proof: goodbye scratches and fingerprints. Much nicer that way!
Please note that you have a choice of three sizes: 12, 14, and 16 inches. The 12-inch pizza is, of course, compatible with 12-inch ovens. The 14-inch and 16-inch pizzas are compatible with 16-inch ovens. The only difference is that the 14-inch pizza is easier to handle, as it doesn't take up all the space in the oven. The 16-inch pizza is reserved for the experienced pizza maker who likes large pizzas to share. All handles are 23 inches long.
