Description

The 2 Pizze Wood is the Moderno for people who want fire, the real thing. No dial: load your logs, watch the flame lick the dome, and pull two Neapolitans at once when the brick is ready. It's the oven that turns a Saturday night into an event, with the smell of wood drifting across the whole yard.

Wood heats the brick, the brick bakes the pizza. Alfa's HeatKeeper floor, made in Italy, soaks up the fire's heat and gives it back slowly. Double insulation keeps it in the dome, and Heat Genius circulation sends hot air back over the toppings.

Three finishes to suit your space: Antique Red, Fire Yellow and Anthracite Grey. Want the same bake with the ease of gas, and the option to add wood later? The 2 Pizze Gas is its gas-fired counterpart.

Our advice

Go with it if you want the wood-fire ritual and the room to pull two pizzas together.

Step up to the 3 Pizze Wood if you host big and want one more in the batch.

What we'd suggest: add the Alfa wood holder. It lights faster and keeps the logs within reach.

Maintenance and Precautions

Day to day

Let the oven cool, then brush the floor with a brass brush. No soap, no water on the brick: the heat burns off residue on the next firing. Wipe the stainless shell with a soft cloth.

Winter and protection

In our Canadian climate, keep the oven covered between uses with the Alfa cover. For winter, store it sheltered or leave it outside well covered and raised off the ground.

What to avoid

Don't run a cold oven to full power the first few times: bring it up gradually to season the brick. Never use abrasive cleaners on the floor. Don't move the oven while hot.

Why we love it

Fire with nothing in between. The wood catching, the flame curling across the dome, the first pizza marked by the embers. You cook as much as you watch the show. For when the fire matters as much as the pizza.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question? We're here to help! Call us at 1-888-606-7499

Contact us
Does this oven make real Neapolitan pizza?
Yes. It reaches 930°F (500°C), the temperature a Neapolitan needs to bake in 60 to 90 seconds. The HeatKeeper firebrick keeps the floor hot between pizzas so you can cook back to back.
Why does the price change with the colour?
Alfa offers the Anthracite Grey finish at a slightly higher price than the Antique Red and Fire Yellow finishes. That's Alfa's pricing on this wood line. You'll see the exact price update when you select your colour.
How long does it take to heat with wood?
Plan on 30 to 45 minutes to preheat with wood. That's when you shape the dough and the guests arrive. The preheat is part of the experience.
Can I use it year-round in our climate?
Yes, as long as you protect it with its cover between uses and let it heat a little longer when it's cold out. The double insulation handles thermal shock well. We have customers making pizza in the dead of winter.
