A pizza peel is a must-have for all pizza lovers ; it ensures a perfect pizza down to the last detail. How? By rotating your pizza halfway through baking, straight from the oven, you get faster, more even cooking and a better-tasting pizza. It does take a little practice to use, but after 2-3 pizzas, you'll definitely be a pro! We love this perforated version because the dough sticks less.
Taking the pizza out of the oven while it's baking and then turning it is not recommended. Why? Because it loses a lot of heat, and therefore, the result isn't as good. And if you don't turn it at all? The cooking will be less even (read: burnt on one side!).
You have the choice between a 12” wooden handle and a 12” or 24” aluminum handle. The 12” version is ideal for smaller ovens. The 14” is for larger, deeper ovens. Wood or aluminum? It really comes down to personal preference. The wooden one is also less expensive.
This tool does not allow you to put your pizza in or take it out of the oven. For that, you will need the Lapizzashop pizza peel.
